This photo of Maude Thompson was taken by Sheila Brennan Wallace. Aunt Maude was married to Chris Thompson, whose brothers Nels and Ludwig were married to Grandpa Keller’s sisters, Alta and Ella. Nels and Alta were Sheila’s great grandparents. Aunt Maude hosted the ladies’ sewing circle over many years and made beautiful quilts. Many in the Delia community were fortunate to receive their quilts as gifts or buy them at the Delia Presbyterian Church bazaar.

This photo of the Delia quilters shows the quilt given to Sheila for her wedding in 1997. L to R : Julia Keller, Esther Kruger, Christina Bowers, Margarete Bond, Lottie Stum, Mary McLin, Dora Ross, and Louise Lewelling. Sheila says, “I hope I got those names right. I’m glad I had the privilege of quilting with this group on a few occasions.”
